I know that that is your favorite way to 'read'.Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04335523622158333456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-80817478496836134912014-07-06T22:38:58.388-04:002014-07-06T22:38:58.388-04:00What a great review of this now-one-of-my-favorite...What a great review of this now-one-of-my-favorite books! Thank you so much for suggesting it. I so enjoyed listening to Fannie Flagg narrate the book on tape. She gave each of the characters their distinctive "voice" and their personalities were wonderful! Thanks, dear friend, for your great literary guidance once again!

Hugs,
SharronAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-84643853651213956052014-03-05T15:36:26.455-05:002014-03-05T15:36:26.455-05:00Well, Kathy, you might begin with Ms. Flagg's ...Well, Kathy, you might begin with Ms. Flagg's "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe". It is a delight. I have a feeling you have seen the movie. This book is so fun because of the history of the flying WWII ladies. Ms. Flagg has done them a great service by writing about them in such an entertaining way. The WASPs were the topic of a paper a few years ago at the Monday Afternoon Club so I was a little familiar with that history. It would be the perfect summer book, Penny. I hope you enjoy it.Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04335523622158333456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-61828916309644014482014-03-05T15:29:38.952-05:002014-03-05T15:29:38.952-05:00Thanks, Lark. I was happy to see these brave ladies turn up in Ms. Flagg's book. She is a treasure!
