I can't imagine anyone else in that role but the inimitable Mr. Fry. Stephen Mangan - not familiar with him - plays Bertie.Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04335523622158333456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-20990334540507324422013-07-20T00:41:42.674-04:002013-07-20T00:41:42.674-04:00I've only seen bits and pieces of the TV show ...I've only seen bits and pieces of the TV show - I have been meaning to watch it completely for ages. skiourophilehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08200877834536477400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-12853497995594235542013-07-19T11:17:44.132-04:002013-07-19T11:17:44.132-04:00I really must buy the CD set of J&W! Some of my friends think they discovered Mr. Laurie, but I knew him from all the British TV shows I had watched and from the movie 'Stuart Little'. I love Hugh Laurie in anything, I just wish his House series wasn't about a hospital. I can't watch those without coming down with whatever virus, gangrene, or plague they're showing, so I've missed his wonderful performances in that show.joan.kylerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17015342608992682333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-1120379019931405602013-07-19T09:59:59.225-04:002013-07-19T09:59:59.225-04:00The aunts are delicious! His parents lived in Hong Kong and he was shuffled from pillar to post among relatives in England.

If you haven't seen the TV episodes of 'Jeeves and Wooster,' you really must! They are priceless. You can see some of them on YouTube or they are out on DVD.

Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04335523622158333456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-7914968004253392222013-07-19T09:46:39.814-04:002013-07-19T09:46:39.814-04:00I too love the Blandings Castle books.
