I love the donate/buy exchange opportunities of this sale. Helps keep my shelves in good order. The books I took to donate went right out on the tables and I hope they sold quickly.Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04335523622158333456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-10984268775770568332013-08-26T19:19:52.472-04:002013-08-26T19:19:52.472-04:00Belle yes there is nothing to beat a book sale, oh...Belle yes there is nothing to beat a book sale, oh the anticipation! For three years I was responsible for our local library book sale. These were all donations and not discards from the library shelves and it was truly amazing what came in. As a funds raising for a library on a limited budget it really helped the coffers. Now that someone else is in charge the viewing and buying is so much more fun as opposed to lugging dozens of boxes, squiring them away wherever we could find a free basement, my back is very happy. And as already mentioned I try not to come home with more books than I have donated, its a challenge! My library hosts a couple a year, but they aren't nearly as extensive as yours sounds. However, they have a used book store that operates year round, and I've found many treasures there so I can't complain. Good luck on the hunt--will you bring back more books than you donate?? (I probably would.)Kathy A.
