At first I was not too enamored with it, but as the story rolled on I liked it more and more. Especially her jabs at authors and artists. And I love the idea of a weekend house party! I will give Ms. Thirkell a break now to prepare myself for WWII.Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04335523622158333456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-79859507616622430682013-05-28T09:56:51.544-04:002013-05-28T09:56:51.544-04:00I have read most of the Thirkell books, and althou...I have read most of the Thirkell books, and although I do not remember what takes place in each of them, two stand out to me: Wild Strawberries (as my favorite) and Pomfret Towers as being different from the others. I still enjoyed it, but maybe not quite as much. Now, the ones that take place during the war are many people's favorites (you haven't gotten to them yet) but I do not care for them. One, I think, I did not even finish. I love the pre-WWII ones-my favorite time period, between the wars. LauraChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17967327592468257519noreply@blogger.com
