I love these fish-out-of-water tales, and this one sounds bookishly entertaining.

I have been enjoying reading about all your garden adventures and looking at your photos. It is fun, if a bit quirky. Paul Collins, his wife and young child leave San Francisco and move to Hay-on-Wye in Wales. This is, or at least was, a town that had the most bookstores and sellers in the world. A look at how other people live is always a treat.

I like the way Ms. Russell writes - lightheartedly - and in each chapter she takes a look at another aspect of Danish life and her experiences running up against it. Quite a good read.Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04335523622158333456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-90765652939842074852016-08-07T19:05:12.075-04:002016-08-07T19:05:12.075-04:00This is a good one, Kathy. I like the way she addresses an aspect of Danish life in each chapter: work/life balance, social life, traditions, vacations, etc. And then she mixes in her experiences and background. It's fun.Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04335523622158333456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-77521565126999249232016-08-06T10:09:44.675-04:002016-08-06T10:09:44.675-04:00This sounds like a book I'd like. I love seeing how people live in other countries, how much the housing costs, what the locals expect in housing - it's often embarrassing to me when Americans are appalled that there's no dishwasher or oven or the rooms are too small. So I think I'd like this book.joan.kylerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17015342608992682333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148557807474310110.post-21504084372913437912016-08-06T10:07:05.670-04:002016-08-06T10:07:05.670-04:00Oh, I love books (and movies) about people moving ...Oh, I love books (and movies) about people moving to new places/cultures and exploring!
