A Reading List for HRH Prince of Cambridge

The Little Prince

Welcome to the world HRH Prince of Cambridge! While we all wait to see what your royal name will be - James and George seem to lead the guesses - I thought I'd take a look at some 'princely' books for your first bookshelf:

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery

The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain

The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli (probably not a happy choice)

The Prince and Betty by P.G. Wodehouse

The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde

There are many princes in literature - Prince Charming comes to mind, as does The Beast in Beauty and, along with that royal fellow with the magic kiss in Sleeping Beauty.

I am sure we can all put our non-princely heads together and come up with more titles about fictional princes for the wee one's reading list. Any suggestions?

  1. The Grimm story, The Frog Prince, comes to mind, Belle.
It is quite lovely of you to gift HRH with such a royal bookshelf - and such a nice welcome into the world. Like many others, I eagerly await meeting him for the first time.
